Zipair Vancouver–Tokyo from C$697 return, roughly 59–68% below full-service rivals

Expired — this deal ended on October 4, 2026. It may no longer be bookable.

Zipair has winter economy fares from Vancouver to Tokyo Narita starting at C$697 return with a 7 kg carry-on, or an advertised C$910 with a checked bag. Select November–February trips are listed.

Adapted for this edition

Zipair, the Japan-based low-cost airline founded as a Japan Airlines subsidiary, is advertising Vancouver (YVR)–Tokyo Narita (NRT) roundtrips from C$697 including taxes in Standard economy, or C$910 with a checked bag. Rishi’s September 30, 2026 alert, posted at 9 a.m. ET, claims savings of C$1,000–C$1,500 against Air Canada, ANA and Japan Airlines; the headline percentage reflects that comparison, not a verified usual Zipair fare.

The advertised windows cover select departures in late November–early December and late December–January. Examples: November 25–December 3; December 2–11; December 7–18; December 31–January 13; January 6–17; and January 29–February 5. Other date combinations may also be available. The listing does not attach years to these dates, so check carefully before paying. In Tokyo, visit Sensō-ji temple, explore the Tokyo National Museum and see Shibuya Crossing.

The basic fare includes one carry-on up to 7 kg, but excludes checked baggage, meals and seat selection. A 30 kg checked bag costs about C$214 return; increasing the carry-on allowance to 15 kg costs another C$104. There are conflicting figures: the baggage section quotes a C$662 base fare rather than C$697, and adding C$214 to C$697 produces C$911, not the advertised C$910. Confirm the final total at checkout.

To book: 1) Open Zipair’s website and switch the top-right currency selector to CAD. 2) Choose a Vancouver–Tokyo Narita roundtrip and enter the passenger count. 3) Use the price calendar to find outbound fares from C$360.67 and inbound fares from C$332.14–C$377.78. 4) Skip the bundle page. 5) On the “Confirmation reservation” screen, add a checked bag to both flight legs if needed—quoted at C$214 total—or select the C$104 carry-on weight upgrade. 6) Review dates, baggage and the complete price before purchasing.
