Delta pushes Atlanta–Riyadh launch to March 2027

Delta has postponed its planned daily Atlanta–Riyadh service from late October 2026 to March 2027. Travellers with affected bookings can review their options, including refunds, on delta.com.

Delta has pushed back the launch of its Atlanta (ATL)–Riyadh (RUH) nonstop service to March 2027 from late October 2026. The airline had scheduled daily flights using an Airbus A350-900.

Delta attributed the postponement to changing regional conditions and said customer and employee safety would guide its decisions. It maintained its long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia. The route follows a partnership with Riyadh Air announced in July 2024; tickets went on sale in December 2025.

US travellers, including SkyMiles members booked through Delta’s Atlanta hub, should open their reservation in the My Trips section of delta.com to review the available options, including refunds. Anyone connecting to the new service should also check how the delay affects the rest of their itinerary.

Canadian travellers with onward bookings through Atlanta face the same disruption. Those departing from Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), Montreal (YUL) or Calgary (YYC) should review their full journey before arranging a replacement.

March 2027 is now the planned launch window. Travellers should watch for further schedule updates rather than assume the postponed service will operate unchanged.
